where i started
I'm a three-time bestselling health and wellness author and a 22-year pioneer in digital publishing at Steamy Kitchen, with nearly 500 million views across my platforms. My expertise has been featured on The Today Show, Fox Business, CBS Early Show, Oprah.com, Martha Stewart Radio, and also in Tim Ferriss’ book The Four Hour Chef. I was a regular on The Daytime Show and ABC’s Recipe Rehab.
I’ve taught on national TV, been a columnist for Discovery Health, The Learning Channel, The Tampa Tribune, Creative Loafing and I’ve had recipes published in magazines and books you’ve probably seen on your mom’s coffee table.
From cooking to chemistry
My path took a sharp, personal turn when my son, Nathan, was diagnosed with epilepsy. I watched as a collection of doctors prescribed a mounting list of medications that only made him sicker and even suicidal. Frustrated by big pharma, I moved from cooking to kitchen chemistry, formulating Nathan’s medicine from cannabis in stealth, as it was pre-legalization. The results were immediate: he got better, and the pharmaceutical cycle finally ended.
That success sparked a deeper obsession with molecular extraction. I began working with psilocybin mushrooms to heal myself after ditching years of anti-depressants that left me operating like a zombie.
I created a new extraction tek for psilocybin and authored a book on microdosing psychedelics, teaching others the power of mother nature.
Eventually, my husband and I scaled that passion into the building one of the fastest-growing licensed production laboratories in Nevada. We powered national brands like Cookies, Stiiizy, Planet 13, and Rove with our formulas.
After two decades of building a community online, I hit a wall: censorship. Because I refused to stay quiet about the power of psychedelics and cannabis, my social platforms were shadowbanned and stripped away. It was the ultimate wake-up call—not just about a platform, but about agency.
It made me realize that as long as we are waiting for an algorithm or a traditional system to "allow" us to be well, we aren't truly free. I lost my reach so I could find a deeper mission: Health Without Permission.
Today, I’ve refined that expertise into American Farmacy. I specialize in two products lines - American Farmacy tallow products and also SOL peptide topicals that combine powerful Eastern and Western botanicals with modern technology.
